When you has the opportunity to visit some business, company, or institution of any nature, she observes if in some place is a visible organizational chart that him of an idea of as that organization is organized; it is not common, and less it frequents even, sera to find of Administration or Organization Manual available. Safe in those well organized great businesses and.
The reason must to that the consulting services are expensive, or because the proprietors consider that it is not necessary; of any way, an organizational chart helps to know better and to inform about the activities and into the services of an organization.
As well as the houses have their planes of structures, planes of water networks and empties, and planes of mains. Thus also in the businesses it is necessary to know like are structured his levels of organization, his relation among them, and its functions that they develop.
We are going to try to present/display a organizacional model for schools of Martial Arts, that serve as reference for the ordering of the functions and activities that are developed in them.
A school can be medium or small, but it does not clear that the school properly is organized, and with a structure and functions adapted to its size. There are great schools, with a great amount of students, who have several premises and different daily turns. In cases thus, it is necessary to have a suitable organization that it harmonizes with the expectations of the students and the potential demand of the market.
Next we presented and displayed the basic levels and functions of which serious the organization of any school of Martial Arts, without differentiating the size from the school; only taking into account the general activities that could have.
The functions are the actions that an organization develops to reach its institutional development, and these taking care of their purpose, can be:
I. FUNCTION OF GESTION: in this level it is located the Directory and the President; this it is a level in where it is decided the future of the school; here the strategic decisions and policies, as well as the objectives of the school are processed. This level studies and analyzes the market of competition in its area or zone, so that the school has competitive services that to offer to the community.
II. EXECUTIVE FUNCTION: in this level the Chief of a main directorate of the school is located, that has to its position the administrative decisions, the processing of the goals, and the academic policies of the school. This area leads the destinies of the school towards the reach of its intentions.
III. ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTION: this segment is of administrative support, is the support to the countable, financial and logistic function of the school.
IV. ACADEMIC FUNCTION: this is the essence and the reason of the business, which some call Operations in other turns of businesses; a school will be prosperous in the measurement that their supply of academic services is of high quality to the community; having good teachers and instructors, suitable physical facilities, good currícula and jousts promotions.
The academic area could be disturbed as well in the following organizational subsegments.
a) Area of Matriculation and Registry
This one is in charge to direct the activities of incorporation of new students, as well as of the registry of his academic life in the school, promotions, merits, participation, diplomas, certifications.
b) Area of Communications
The one is in charge to promote the positive image from the school to the community, as well as of its participation in social and civic events, and the publicity that so vital to grow economically. It also has to his position the publication and distribution of Bulletins, Books, Manual, and Videos produced by the instructors and teachers.
c) Area of Education
That is the one in charge of education, diffusion, and preservation of the Martial Art of the school. It has to his position the processing of currícula of study, the evaluations and promotions. As well as of the organization of Clinics and Campings.
It maintains the philosophy, spirit, and techniques of the Martial Art intangible that spreads the school.
d) Area of Competition
Ordered to organize or to promote the participation of its students in matches, exhibitions and events relative to the sport competitions of its sport discipline.
There are small schools of 30 or less students than would not need to obvious have a model so diversified of functions and activities, and that often the teacher or sensei takes on his shoulders all the activities, or such students collaborate in some tasks.
Nevertheless, the idea is to have a reference of the organization and the general activities, and of as these activities could be ordered successful.
Today in day the electronic systems of information allow to already have programs processed to take the accounting, the registry and control of students, the programming of the activities, the check membresías, invoicing and receipts, mail, transmission, and other options but that can be made with the use of a computer.
An organization who wishes to have a successful development in her institutional life, must establish certain plans to fulfill in terms of strategies, policies, objectives and I put; which will be translated in quality and amount of perfomances to also reach of the economic success and of image of the school.
The goals for example could be of the quarterly number of enlisted students, of number of academic events developed, in matches and reached merits, obtained promotions, obtained income, control of costs, investments of facilities and resources, and in image obtained in the social surroundings.
As far as tactical policies, these can be referred the aspects of each area of the school; like in the methodologies of education, the advance and satisfaction of the students, of the security and use of the premises, the publicity, the administrative handling, logistic and the resources, the activities and events of the school.
It is incredible the advance of the technology and its use in many fields of the businesses and educative institutions. A school of Martial Arts also must adapt itself to the changes, to modernize its organization and management; to make use of publicity, promotions and supplies, technology of computation, pamphlets; to be made notice by the community and have participation in her, and have good communication with the social surroundings.
Also, we summarize that the life of a school of Martial Arts has two essential aspects on which turns its existence:
a) The quality of services that offers to the community and that must be translated in suitable income for its support.
b) The preservation and the legacy of the Martial Art that spreads, creating school between its followers and disciples if there were them.
On these bases, all the other activities and resources can be harmonized and be related of suitable way, with a good vision of market, futurist sense, a harmonic organization, and an effective administration.
Let us remember that the education perfects the culture and the life of the society in its multiple aspects, but that also is a good source of work and development; and therefore, in the case of a school of Judo, that we know well has minor root that other disciplines of Martial Arts with more acceptance of market; the effective operation will allow to success to its proprietors and students, but also it will be an important element in the development of his community.
